PREVIOUS CONDITION:

           Sibani Pradhan was identified as a Low Vision child through the special educator of IIEC, during an assessment camp. As a child with Low Vision, she was facing problem in reading and writing in the class room. Academically she was very poor. She cannot see small letter without magnifier glass. Her socio economic status was very wretched. She consulted Eye Specialist and used spectacle. She was not going to school regularly. She was picked up by the Resource Teacher of IIEC as a beneficiary.

 

INTERVENTION :

 

• After medical assessment she was provided spectacle through the Resource teacher of IIEC.

• Providing assistive device such as book lenses, neck magnifier, hand magnifier etc for better reading and writing The resource teachers of IIEC helped in her studies in her classroom and remedial teaching in home by the help of Inclusive Teaching learning materials and models.

• Resource Teachers interacted with her parents and school teacher for her barrier free growth both in studies and extra curricular activities.

 

PRESENT CONDITION :

 

• After intervention she has improved impressively in her academic and daily living skill.

• Her confidence level has increased

• Through the Resource Teacher and Assistive devices now she has passed 10th annual examination.
